Laura was initially confused, but that changed when she noticed the various dates on each gift. Then she at last realized what it was all about.
One Gift Each Day
When Laura discovered that these presents were intended for a dog to open each day, she was both surprised and thrilled.
Every present was marked with the precise day he needed to open it. Naturally, the ten dates stood for the ten days that his mother was away. The dog had to open the presents; Laura was not permitted to do so.
The dog excitedly snatched up his first gift from her and began using his teeth to unwrap it till he opened it. Laura was ecstatic and giggling uncontrollably at a scene she had never seen before.
Laura gave him a gift every day after that, and it was obvious that the dog most eagerly anticipated that time of day.
Laura said, “He always got excited and knew I was going to give him another present with the hidden toy inside.”
In a way, this even accelerated the days till his mother returned.

Laura shared this video on TikTok under the handle @laurablount_, as you can already see. Even while she was aware that it would draw a lot of attention, she could not have predicted how much of it.
