Cyclists Were Shocked When They Realized A Dog They Saved Had Something Attached On His Collar

Chase was an innocent puppy who never thought his owner would abandon him permanently.

Chase stared into the distance with sorrowful and perplexed eyes after the unimaginable occurred and he was left alone in the street.

Chase began to sprint across the desolate streets, unsure of where to go. All he wanted was to be safe in his owner’s arms and to see his face once more.

Chase curled up in a bush, longing to wake up from this nightmare, because he was so terrified.

Good Humans Step in To Help

When the three cyclists spotted a brown and white puppy lurking in the brush, they screeched to a stop.

They immediately came to his rescue.

The cyclists initially believed him to be a stray dog, but upon closer inspection, they were taken aback.Chase was wearing a plastic bag with a letter tied to the collar.

When Amanda Laken and her husband, a lovely couple who just so happened to be nearby, saw what was happening, they stepped in to assist. After securing Chase, they transported him to Hope Rescue.

The doggo was still afraid when he got to the rescue.

The staff’s hearts sank when they saw the terror in his soulful eyes.They tried to comfort him while holding him in their arms.

Chase’s well-being was a relief to the shelter personnel.

Chase was unable to overcome his phobia even after the amazing caretakers at Hope Rescue started to take care of him and give him time to unwind.

He was depressed and ate very little.

Chase remained seated in one place and refused to engage with the staff’s attempts to speak with him and help him feel better.

Chase’s caregivers came up with a brilliant plan to assist the puppy come out of his shell since they were determined to gain his trust.

Two amiable shelter dogs that they introduced him to soon became his companions.

Chase Starts Coming Out Of His Shell

Chase was soon placed with a wonderful foster home who lavished him with affection after the rescue.

In addition, his foster parents had two kind dogs who embraced the puppy and started assisting him in regaining his self-esteem.

Chase’s warm attitude was soon on display as he began playing with his dog companions. At night he enjoyed cuddling with them.

The foster family is beginning to believe that the dog may have already found his forever home as he continues to get closer to them.

Chase appears to have a bright future. Hope Rescue’s head of operations, Sara Rosser, told The Dodo, “We are so happy for him that he has found a [family] who understand him and can help him grow into the happy dog he deserves after the trauma of being abandoned.”
