Any time someone chooses to leave their dogs behind, it’s startling. Many people don’t appear to think so, even though it could seem like a major issue to us dog lovers.
Why? To put it simply, they never gave a damn about the animals in the first place. Many dog owners get dogs and then discard them whenever it is convenient for them.
It’s harsh, but the problem is that they are abandoned, which is even worse. They are far too frequently abandoned to starve in remote areas.
This little puppy was no different. He had severe health issues and was alone in the woods. He wouldn’t make it if nothing was done.
But when rescuers eventually learned about him and made the decision to assist, his luck did improve.
His Belly Was Swollen
The rescuers were quite aback to learn that the letter was about two canines rather than just one.
But after two days of hunting, they only discovered one puppy when they got to the spot. The poor puppy was frightened by everyone around him and had an enormous tummy.
The rescuers wasted no time in getting him the medical attention he sorely needed. As soon as possible, the puppy was loaded onto a car and driven to the vet facility.
One of the rescuers remained and carried on the hunt for the second puppy in the hopes of locating him. They made the decision to keep looking even though there was little chance of locating him.
The veterinarians administered first aid to the puppy that was brought to the clinic and conducted tests on him to determine his condition.
He will require emergency care since, in addition to having fluid in his abdomen, his heart was failing.
His Trauma Was Severe
Even in the care of his kind rescuers and veterinarians, the puppy just couldn t relax. There were signs of abuse and neglect all over him. Who knows what he really went through before?
The veterinarians opted to drain all of his bodily fluids in order to continue the treatment.
Because there was so much fluid in his gut, they had to do it multiple times. Fortunately, everything was done safely, and he was gradually getting better.
His rescuers just kept wondering what could have happened to him to cause such fear of other people. How could his previous owners have allowed this to occur?
Too many questions were raised, but no answers were provided. Nevertheless, they had to press forward and continue treating him.
After some time in the clinic,the veterinarians were able to cheer him up a little.He was starting to wag his tail around and he looked a little more relaxed.
As for his heart problems, the only thing they can do is treat it with medicine for the rest of his life. That was his only option, really. However, his belly swelling has gone down completely.
Lucky Is Making A Change
The veterinarians have discharged him from the clinicand the rescuers decided to take him into one of their homes.
Even now, the puppy is still really reluctant and scared, but they were hoping that this is what he needed to recover. Then, they made a nice spot for him in the house where he could relax and rest.
As for the other puppy that the rescuers were searching in the woods, they were not able to find him. They were heartbroken, but the rescuers knew they had to focus on helping this pup.
The puppy, now named Lucky, had serious psychological problems, so his rescuer took him to see a therapist who would hopefully help him recover.
With time, love, and care,this adorable puppy was starting to change, day by day. He would eventually change in many ways. He grew more confident and playful. This was a huge step.
While the scars of his abuse will always be there, it s comforting to know that he has someone wonderful taking care of him. I am so happy to see he is doing okay.
