Meet Halo, a scrawny young child who was discovered curled up in a ball and barely alive in the middle of a Mississippi forest.
After receiving a report regarding an aggressive Pitbull in the woods, the rescuers were taken aback by the dog’s true condition.
Their hearts were shattered by the sight of her alone. Halo wasn’t at all vicious.
She was so malnourished, blind, and neglected that she was prepared to be released if the rescuers failed to arrive.
Curled Up In The Forest
In Mississippi, Stacey and her spouse, Mike, are integral members of the rescue community.
Stacey most likely gave a Mississippi rescue dog a second chance if you acquired one from the Lucky Dog Refuge Shelter in Stamford, Connecticut.
Among those many dogs was Halo.
Halo was essentially a skeleton—just skin and bones—when she was discovered in the middle of the forest.
With the aid of some delectable food, Stacey and her husband were able to entice her out of the woods, but her condition was horrifying.
It was evident that poor Halo had been deprived of food and shelter for weeks, months, or even years due to her condition.
She was probably kept for breeding until her owner decided to throw her in the woods because she was no longer useful.
The thought of what this poor puppy had to go through is really horrifying, but happily, she is now in the proper hands.
The Road To Recovery
Since they weren’t even certain she would survive, they chose to call her Halo. Fortunately, she did.
As soon as Stacey took her home, they began treating her with antibiotics and proper diet.
She was a terrific warrior, but there were a few times when they weren’t sure if she would survive.
Halo at last knew what true love felt like with Stacey. She was thrilled to be treated well by a human being for the first time in her life.
When she eventually recovered, after months of suffering, it was time to move her to the Connecticut rescue.
Halo Found A Forever Home
Halo, a totally different dog from when she was discovered in the woods, was overjoyed when she got to the rescue.
Halo’s love of ice cream and his constant excitement when he got one were soon discovered by the shelter.
She expresses her gratitude for everything in her life every day. Jessica remarked, “She’s just an angel.”
A loving forever home was still lacking, though.
Then the most incredible thing occurred: lovely little Halo found the ideal forever home and is now just thriving.
Not only that, but her pawrents also chose to adopt Halo’s best friend, Laynes, from the shelter, and the two are currently leading the finest lives possible together.
