A TikTok user named @hairbymariahjewell shared a video of herself driving a car while comforting her agitated dog, Max, on her shoulder on September 17, 2024.
This woman describes in the video what led this dog to react so badly to the car ride, and the clip is quite distressing. Her remarks brought attention to both the severity of the emotions that these furry animals are capable of experiencing and the repercussions of leaving dogs behind.
“Please don’t leave them stranded and alone; they depended on you. Take them to a [no euthanasia] shelter and let a family choose them,” she said, using severe language. “I am getting to mend a sweet spirit that never deserved to be broken.”
