A shelter that is ideal does not exist. You can see the picture by imagining all the stress, commotion, and dogs in cages pleading for help.
Add to that the fact that euthanasia is unavoidable because to the ticking clock. Rambo’s life narrative is playing out in front of your eyes.
When I initially heard this heartbroken pup’s story, I was overcome with sympathy.
He was waiting for his tragic demise in a little kennel, but he couldn’t comprehend why. He simply didn’t know how to explain this to those who wrote him off, even though he was certain he didn’t deserve it.
Rambo s Inevitable End Was Close
Rambo’s past is mainly unknown. He was a severely malnourished dog who was unable to handle the stress of the shelter when he was brought in. That was the end of it. No microchip, no data, no information that would explain how he had become alone in the first place.
Unfortunately, he was placed on the euthanasia list after spending four months in the shelter.
Rambo was often ignored because his narrative wasn’t well-liked by dog enthusiasts. I suppose it doesn’t do you credit to be a terrified, traumatized Pittie trying to survive another day, does it?
Thankfully, a kind person (or two) is always willing to assist a puppy that is experiencing heartbreak.
Rambo was given a second chance by Dark Horse Dogs, an incredible rescue organization in Illinois. In an effort to help the dog come out of his shell as quickly as possible, this foster-based organization provided him a respectable temporary home with his new foster mother, Coco.
He only needed three months. Yes, exactly!Rambo was already a completely different dog after three months of love, attention, and comprehension. For the first time in years, away from small kennels and painful memories, Coco simply liked seeing him grow.
How about a comeback? Things could only proceed from this point on, and Rambo experienced just that.
After giving it some thought, a couple from Illinois named Emily and Michael made the decision to adopt this puppy permanently.
Emily persuaded Michael to try sweet Rambo, despite his initial reluctance. She secretly believed that he was a unique canine who was ideal for them, and she was absolutely correct!
I’m not sure if it was her innate maternal instinct or simply the fact that she fell deeply in love with Rambo as soon as she came across his narrative, but Rambo exceeded her expectations! More than that, even!
He adjusted wonderfully to their second dog, Rosie, a Pug, who instantly admired him. Despite being a shy dog by nature, Rosie followed her larger brother everywhere. He became her strength, her shoulder to weep on, and her mentor in everything.
What’s the best part? Rambo undoubtedly altered Michael’s viewpoint as well!
Mom s Cool, But Dad s The Coolest
There is nothing more adorable than a puppy cuddling in his owner’s arms. After just a few snuggle sessions with Rambo, Michael discovered this, and he was genuinely unable to stop!
For some reason, this rescued dog decided that Michael was his favorite person, as though he were attempting to eliminate all of the preconceived notions his owner had about him. He took advantage of the chance to cuddle with him whenever he saw him relaxing on the couch.
Do not misunderstand. He also had a deep affection for Emily, but spending time with Michael seemed different.
Emily says it’s so wonderful to see how my hubby has warmed up to Rambo.
The two seem to literally absorb in the beauty of one other’s company, as though they have their own little microworld. Rambo had that great of an impact on Michael!
Rambo is a cheerful dog today because of the abundance of love he gets from his parents every day.In addition to his excursions with Rosie, he enjoys his food, toys, everyday tasks, and playing.
Rambo never thought life would be this sweet after being a fearful Pittie with no way out!
