A pastor in Kentucky saw such anguish firsthand one day in front of a church. He was deeply distressed by the contents of a package that came on the church steps with a note.
Poor Little Babies
When the pastor discovered that the box in front of the church door was full of fuzzy puppies, he was devastated. The mother was nowhere to be seen, and there were six newborn puppies within.
In addition, a note that said, “Puppies free to a good home,” was scrawled on the box. The father’s breed is unknown, and he is mixed with a blue-nosed pit bull.
Fortunately, the pastor was able to gather himself immediately after being shaken by the circumstance.
This compassionate man chose to call the Powell County Animal Shelter for assistance because he didn’t know what to do and didn’t have any information about the pups other than the note.
Immediately after receiving the pastor’s call, the staff at the shelter in Powell County, Kentucky, responded. They were pleased with the state of these puppies, which delighted him.
Powell County Animal Shelter employee Teresa Stidham told The Dodo that it was dark and would be a very cold night.The puppies appeared to have just been taken from their mother and were in good health.
Now, at last, the poor tiny babies were on their way to safety.
Hope For A Loving Home
The shelter sent the puppies to a temporary foster home for a few days after the pastor discovered them, and then they returned to the kennel.
Employees at the shelter are giving the puppies everything they require to survive. They are also continuously looking for their forever home at the same time. Regretfully, it is difficult to locate a family willing to take in so many pets.
These folks realize that the ideal answer is a loving family and a lasting home, therefore they are unwilling to give up on them.Teresa stated, “We believe they would do better with more care than we can give them.”
In an effort to locate the mother and bring her and her children back together, they are also looking for the individual who left the puppies in front of the Kentucky church.
These folks are prepared to show the puppies their undivided affection till that time.
