For Jen Edmondson of southeastern Texas, it was meant to be just another typical evening. She noticed two large black eyes peering from the surrounding bushes as she passed her mailbox on her way outside the house.
She was initially rather perplexed, but after taking a few steps closer, she saw that he was a cute white puppy that was nearly pleading for assistance with his loving gaze.
He Was All Alone In This World
The dog was obviously lost, but Jen deduced from his calm and kind manner that he had previously had a family. She asked about his possible owners after taking a video of him right away and sharing it on social media.
discovered him strolling by himself. He hasn’t been claimed, but he turns out to be really lovely. Jen stated on her TikTok account, “We’re fostering him with a local rescue organization.”
In the end, a lot more people saw the dog strolling the town’s streets, but nobody was certain if he truly belonged to anyone.
Jen made the decision to intervene.
Jen Steps In As A Temporary Foster
Jen gave the doggo his first initial examination after temporarily housing him. The veterinarian determined that the dog was a Great Pyrenees, aged two years!
Since no one else claimed the puppy, he recommended that Jen foster him through Columbus Rescue Dogs, located in Columbus, Texas. And she succeeded!
But for Jen, there was a tiny, tiny problem!
She gradually began to fall in love with the puppy, whom she eventually named Gibbous (after the gibbous moon that sparkled in the sky the night she found him), despite the fact that everything had begun as a temporary fix.
I’m falling in love, if I’m being honest! He never stops grinning at me and is the cutest puppy! Thus, we are on the verge of a catastrophic failure. Jen wrote, “I’m too invested in this sweet, happy, gentle giant.”
Gibbous seemed to be more at ease with his foster mother every day and didn’t appear to let go easy. Nor did she!
Gibbous A Pawdorable Foster Fail
Jen decided to permanently adopt Gibbous after a few months of fostering and getting him ready for possible adopters!
Since no one else had come forward to claim this beautiful, kind giant, she was more than happy to keep him in the family because she couldn’t bear the thought of being without him any longer!
And that thought apparently didn’t bother Gibbous at all!
Enjoying His Unexpected Home
He appears to take great pleasure in his large yard! Despite everything, though, he is most in love with Jen.
He loves taking long walks, going on car excursions, and playing with his new mother. Even though he can be difficult at times, his cute smile allows him to get away with it!
For this Gibbous rescue foster, life is going well. According to his mother, he is incredibly skilled at taking car journeys, dining al fresco, and loving people.
