Oakley was suffering from severe mistreatment when he was discovered lurking in bushes in a Missouri yard. This young girl was seriously hurt and had an open wound that was only growing worse as a result of previous poor parenting.
She endured all of the suffering in quiet, far from comfortable living quarters, until one day everything changed for her!
She Was Struggling In The Bushes
The right person at the right moment was Donna Lochmann, the rescuer from Stray Rescue of St. Louis, Missouri!
She saw odd movement in the bushes in one of the yards while on one of her excursions. She noticed a small head protruding from it as she drew closer. Oakley was there, battling an open wound on his neck.
This cute 10-month-old girl puppy was hiding in a bush by herself. When we looked more closely, we saw that she had a large wound on her neck, SRSL wrote in a Facebook post.
Oakley was obviously wearing a collar that was excessively tight, which caused an open wound to form on her neck.She was unable to heal herself and endured the pain for days.
Nevertheless, despite everything, Oakley greeted Donna with the cutest, glittering eyes and a wagging tail.
She was quite relieved that someone had finally located her because she was undoubtedly unable to manage her injury on her own.

It was an unforgettable journey to Oakley’s new life! Being near her savior was a wonderful experience for this courageous child, and it was evident that she also relished the journey!
She received the greatest treatment imaginable when Donna brought her to SRSL headquarters.She received few stitches, which aided in her complete recovery in a matter of days. The small scar that remained as a memory of Oakley’s past was all that was left of the open wound.
After being saved, she remained in our clinic while we closed the large wound on her neck. According to an update post from the rescue, she is currently in foster care, her stitches have been removed, she is completely recovered, and she is prepared for her forever home.
Oakley is eager to start a brand-new, thrilling journey in her life. She is a healthy, gregarious dog who will undoubtedly bring great joy to several family members.
She is incredibly joyful and dog-friendly. “We couldn’t ask for more,” they wrote, adding that her foster mother is teaching her manners and love with a great deal of care.
