Couple Who Recently Lost Their Dog To Cancer Steps In To Save Sweet Pup Listed For Euthanasia

When their rescue dog, Myrtle, passed away, Jessica Sattelberger and her partner, Adam, experienced that pain. The pair made a vow beforehand but had to say the most difficult goodbye after he lost his fight with terminal cancer.
Jessica and Adam made the decision to assist another needy dog in remembrance of Myrtle, and that dog was Shmoo!
Jessica And Adam Kept Their Promise
Jessica has always had a special place in her heart for dogs and volunteers at a shelter in Los Angeles, California. She and Adam didn’t want to waste time when they learned that a dog had been turned in to be put down at a shelter in Queens.
When the dog, Shmoo, was four years old, the couple applied for him right away.

Shmoo Gets To Live A New Life
Although Shmoo’s nervousness was still evident, she no longer hesitated to express her love for her new acquaintances. She took to Jessica and Adam instead of hiding in the corner of the home, and she wouldn’t allow them leave her sight for even a second.
Now that she was considerably more at ease, Shmoo enjoyed holding the couple’s hands while they sat on the couch. She eventually found the greatest solace in her humans after a painful history, and they are incredibly appreciative.
Shmoo gradually started to investigate her new surroundings. Every time she went for a walk, she was greeted by admirers for her distinctive, stylish appearance.
Finally, she was able to enjoy all of the pleasures that come with being a dog.
Herhip dysplasia is the sole issue Shmoo is currently dealing with, which limits her ability to fully enjoy walks. Her owners provide her with the greatest care imaginable, and she is now on pain medication.
Shmoo seemed to be content with her new existence in spite of everything. At last, she has a place to call home and people who would not desert her like her former family did.
