Pit Bull Left Tied Up By Her Owners In The Middle Of The Night, With Only A Blanket And Food
For dogs, abandonment is a chronic stress that frequently results in lifelong scarring. Can we really blame them?
Imagine waking up one day to a completely different existence after having a family. This sentiment is all too familiar to Mia, a Pittie who was brutally left behind by her family in Newark, New Jersey.
This three-year-old Pit Bull ended up tied to a fence in the middle of the night after spending so much time as a good girl in a cozy household. She had many unresolved questions because all she had left of her owners was a small blanket and some food.
Who Would Do Such A Cruel Thing
Mia was discovered entirely by chance by Yasmin Rivera, a volunteer at Jersey Pits Rescue in New Jersey. She encountered a tragic scene while on her nighttime feeding round.
The Pittie, Mia, was confined and unable to move from the location where her owners had left her.
Being left alone in Newark in the middle of the night, chained to a fence, and deserted by your family. JPR posted on Instagram, “I wonder what was going through her mind as she watched her family drive or walk away.”
She only had a small blanket to lie on and some leftover food from her relatives. Nevertheless, Mia was overjoyed when Yasmin came up to her and touched her gently and said kind things.
She seemed to have already come to terms with the fact that Yasmin would be her next savior. And she really was!
In addition to having some delicious takeaway and spending time getting to know one another, the two stayed overnight in Yasmin’s van. She met Yasmin’s family and friends at her house the very following day!
Mia had the cutest smile on her face in spite of her heartache.
We have never encountered a sweeter, more lovely little soul than Mia. The rescue noted in a another post, “We don’t know how a dog that was abandoned in this way can still be so resilient and loving.”
During her week-long stay with Yasmin, she made new friends and gained extensive knowledge about family life. She was unaware at the moment that Mia’s best was still to come.
The Sweetest Foster Fail
Mia was paired with the ideal fosters thanks to Jersey Pits Rescue!
As soon as she met her new father, she jumped into his arms and didn’t let go. Mia’s fun and eccentric nature was rapidly picked up by her foster parents, and before long, she was the princess of her new home.
That ultimately had just one result: Mia ended up as a foster failure! After only a few days in foster care, her adoptive parents decided to permanently adopt her after realizing how unique she was. Mia, of course, is overjoyed!
She is living a completely different life in her new house, going on new experiences every day. Her family cannot express how grateful they are to her rescues and how fortunate they are to have her.
Mia loves taking walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, and napping a lot. Her family told the JPR, “We are so incredibly lucky to have her. She is so sweet and smart.”
There’s little doubt that Mia’s dark days are over. She now enjoys cuddling, thrilling playtime, and her new home. What more was there for her?
