Rescuers From Missouri Saved A Dog But Quickly Saw Another Furry Surprise Inside Old Mattress
One of the most remarkable traits we see in all living things is undoubtedly a mother’s instinct, and dogs are no different!
This Pittie mother was so terrified when she was about to bring her babies into the world!
She chose to give birth in an abandoned home in St. Louis, Missouri, since she was so anxious to save her litter. She had no concept that it was not a good idea to be safe in a home that was far from requirements!
The canine mom really needed assistance because she was in a dark house with her puppies, without food or drink!
Help Arrived When Mama Dog Needed It The Most
Fortunately, news of the stray Pittie mother hiding in an abandoned house spread to the kindhearted folks of St. Louis, Missouri’s Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
The volunteers from this rescue, Natalie and Donna, who have taken part in several rescue operations thus far, arrived at the location in search of an abandoned Pittie and her litter.
After calling the dog multiple times and providing food, they eventually noticed a small head emerging from a mattress. Clearly skinny and malnourished, she grabbed the goodies without hesitation.
After she eventually got out of bed, Natalie and Donna loaded her into their jeep and returned with her puppies.
Six Healthy, Chunky Puppies
Despite the cold and darkness, they were able to extract every puppy from the mattress. Six newborns were under there and all were well, with one sadly passing away not long ago.
St. Louis Stray Rescue:
Six infants, one mother, and one who has already crossed the rainbow bridge. Their home was boarded up, extremely chilly, and completely dark. Her young ones had skin diseases, and she was extremely thirsty and hungry. Thank God, though, they are all safe now.
Considering their circumstances, these six puppies were surprisingly healthy. They were all fat and healthy, with the exception of a small skin infection.
In fact, Mom did a fantastic job with these pups. Donna claimed that despite her thinness, the puppies were all content and plump.
Next to their mother, they loaded the puppies into a box and put them in the jeep.
Vicky Veggie Was A Friendly Girl Right Off The Bat
The mother, who would later be known as Vicky Veggie, was amiable from the beginning despite everything that had happened to the Pittie family!
She didn’t act aggressively to defend her puppies, in contrast to many of the dogs that Natalie and Donna had rescued. She seemed to understand immediately that these humans were there to support her and protect her children.
The entire family received excellent treatment. In order to prepare Vicky Veggie for her future family, the SRSL team sent her to a foster home after ensuring that the puppies were weaned from their mother.
However, because they were receiving therapy for their infection, the puppies were observed for a bit longer. They were all successfully adopted into lovely homes in the end!
Settling In A Well-Deserved Furever Home
Vicky Veggie was adopted into the cutest family after spending a few months in a foster home!Her new hoomans greeted her with open arms, and she returned the favor!
Adopted into the world’s most devoted family is Vicky Veggie. They provide her with all the cuddles and hugs she has been longing for. SRST posted on Facebook, “Congratulations, sweet girl. We are so happy for you.”
She’s currently the happiest doggo in the world, having once been a stray dog mom balancing many concerns!
