Animals are capable of taking care of themselves, but occasionally they require our assistance.

It is rather typical for people to live on the cold, harsh streets and find themselves in difficult situations. They can assist one another at times, but only their two-legged friends can rescue them at other times.

Fortunately, there are plenty of people in the world who will stop at nothing to give our furry pets the life they so richly deserve.

Rescue Mission

Cassie Jo, a resident of Austin, Texas, heard something odd when she was taking out the trash.

She halted in her tracks and realized they were actually a puppy’s cries. After some research, she discovered a small Jack Russell puppy trapped in a storm drain and entangled in chicken wire.

Jo immediately summoned the maintenance crew at her apartment building to try to rescue the dog. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, they were unable to succeed.

They made the decision to contact their local citizen hotline, but they were taken aback to learn that it might take up to 24 or 48 hours to get help. They made the decision to call the Austin Fire Department since they knew they didn’t have much time.

Help Is On The Way

The Austin Fire Department quickly gathered their equipment and made their way to the scene.

According to Austin Pets Alive on Facebook, the puppy, whose we now call Poinsettia, began going farther and deeper into the sewer until a firefighter courageously descended and was able to save her.

Following her rescue, this adorable girl was adopted by the Austin Animal Center before being sent to Austin Pets Alive (APA!) for a critical medical evaluation.

Poinsettia’s fight was far from done, but she was safe. She began experiencing convulsions after arriving at the Austin Animal Center. Poinsettia is currently battling to survive while in the care of our medical staff, and we are fighting alongside her. However, they said, “We can only succeed with your assistance.”

Poinsettia was prescribed medicines by the APA to treat her illnesses and drugs to help with her seizures.

The medical team reported that they did not find any evidence of pain or limp, despite their anxiety about a potential leg injury.

At last, Poinsettia was secure and on her way to getting better. The Austin shelter chose this time to remind everyone of the value of donations, given that her first care expenses were projected to be $500.

Your assistance is desperately required to help creatures like Poinsettia fight against whatever comes their way, especially since December is nearly halfway over. Remember that your gift is currently MATCHED up to $100,000! Will you generously double your gift today by helping animals like her?”They said.”

Therefore, feel free to give to the cause and assist a furry buddy if you would like to lend a helping hand.
