Shelter Workers From Georgia Were In Disbelief After Realizing What Was In This Donation Box

Are you aware of the annual number of pets that wind up in shelters?

Definitely a couple of million.

The figure fluctuates and shifts from year to year. More than 6 million canines were turned in to shelters in the United States, as far as I know.

Six million broken hearts, that is!

Do you have any idea how much anguish these six million pets endure?

God can only imagine what would happen to those unfortunate puppies in need if it weren’t for animal shelters and rescue groups.

Regretfully, things are rather alarming. Even with the best of intentions, shelters are unable to function on air. They require funding, and the nation just does not supply enough of it.

Many of them are devoid of essentials like supplies for medications or dog food.

Most of them depend on donations from kindhearted individuals.

The foundation of any shelter is made up of generous donations and kind animal lovers.

Without donations, no lives would be spared. That’s the basic math.

Donations are always appreciated at one of Georgia’s several shelters, which even has a box outside for anyone wishing to donate food and supplies.

Staff members discovered something one morning that was a huge donation but couldn’t be classified as a requirement.

Let’s discover what sort of enigmatic visitors came to this refuge!

What s In The Box?

At Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society (MCCHS), each workday begins early.

The first staff members arrived at the shelter for their duty before six in the morning.

As usual, they check the contribution box located directly outside the shelter before beginning their daily work duties. Although it’s not always completely filled, a bag or two of kibble is placed inside each day to ensure the pups receive some assistance.

But this morning was not like the others.

Indeed, the crate included two kibble bags that were ready for them.

However, that wasn’t it!

The enigmatic visitors had been eagerly waiting for someone to arrive and open the package.

Two puppies were curled up in the back of the crate as the shelter staff opened it!

Saved Just In Time

Georgia is experiencing a scorching summer.

Consider how hot a wooden box without adequate air openings must be.

Those puppies were panting, sweating, and struggling to breathe while in a sauna.

The heat from the box hit them like a wave when the personnel discovered them. At the last second, they were saved. If the box hadn’t been opened that morning by the shelter staff

We are all aware of the possible outcomes of this case.

After checking their security cameras, the MCCHS staff discovered that the two puppies had been abandoned shortly after 10:30 PM.At that hour, the shelter was deserted. The children had remained in the box all night, hoping that someone would discover them.

Fortunately, a thorough inspection revealed that the puppies were in excellent health. They didn’t appear to be infected. They had good coats. They appeared to be typical puppies!

At first, Polly and Dolly, as they were called, were a little reserved, but eventually their genuine selves were revealed. They were simply too content to be alive in such a setting!

According to a shelter employee, they are extremely energetic puppies who enjoy playing and receiving attention from others.

At this point, Polly and Dolly are roughly three months old.

They are eager to get to know their furry relatives. Only a short time ago, the MCCHS put them up for adoption, and already they’re receiving a lot of questions about the adorable pair from the box.

These fortunate girls would undoubtedly be adopted in a heartbeat.

The generous shelter staff at MCCHS continues to routinely check their contribution box. You never know when a new puppy might arrive in the middle of the night.
