The Cause Pit Crew (CPC), a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Syracuse, New York, didn’t anticipate having such a difficult day when they arrived at work one July morning.

They were devastated to learn that someone had left their senior dog, Max, chained up in a park, and they would carry the news with them all day.

The team of rescuers met at the park after calling Syracuse Police and Dog Control to provide this adorable boy the assistance he much needed.

A Heartbreaking Discovery

The Cuse Pit Crew supports responsible Pit Bull ownership, thus they were moved to tears when they witnessed Max’s dejection while he waited for someone to come save him.Fortunately, things were about to change.

This note and adorable Max were left tied to a picnic bench in Schiller Park, Syracuse, this morning. The Cruse Pit Crew posted on Facebook, “We met Syracuse Police and Dog Control there, who took pictures and took Max to the emergency vet for care.”

However, before they loaded Max into their vehicle, they saw a note that detailed everything that had occurred to him pinned to a pole close to the puppy.

“I’m a good boy,” the note said. I’m seventeen years old. Max is my name. My owners are no longer able to care for me. Help me, please!

In order to get good lad Max a temporary residence where he could at last unwind and decompress, CPC contacted the local authorities. They also made the decision to use this chance to clarify that the entire circumstance might have been easily prevented.

Max is neither the first nor the last dog to be left in a park. We think that if more individuals knew about our services, this may have been prevented. Although we cannot save you, we will do everything in our power to assist you in solving your problems. We want pet owners to feel comfortable approaching us for assistance, so we’ll do it without passing judgment, they continued.

Everything Will Be Okay

After Max’s medical inspection, the amazing people at HumaneCNY took him in and provided him a loving temporary home, according to the CPC’s later report.

He is receiving treatment for arthritis and infections in his ears and eyes, but other than that, this adorable boy is doing great!

Max is enjoying all of the extra attention and care he is getting. He is severely underweight, so his new homemakers are taking care to provide him with all the wholesome meals he requires to reach his ideal weight.

I have no doubt that this adorable puppy will grow up and become strong enough to find a loving permanent family who will give him the wonderful life he has always deserved.Max, good luck.I have no doubt that good things are on the horizon!
