Chihuahua Forced To Live With 40 Other Dogs In A Trailer Finally Gets The Chance She Deserved

The Houston Humane Society saved more than 40 dogs from a terrible hoarding situation in which they were all housed in a dilapidated trailer surrounded by waste and filth.

Toothless, a senior Chihuahua, was also one of the dogs.

It should come as no surprise that Toothless was extremely ferocious and distrustful given the terrible living circumstances and everything these poor canines endured.

But things soon changed as a generous woman chose to adopt him and give him a shot.

At the time of the rescue, this young canine was extremely untamed and distrustful, indicating that he and all the other dogs had had very little human contact in their lives, according to Madeleine Cantrell, Toothless’ mother from Houston.

From Feral To Loving

Everything began to change when Madeleine brought Toothless home.

He was initially fleeing from her in terror and made a few attempts to gum her, but by the next morning, he had fully changed.

She could see that he had no idea what true love looked like when she held him for the first time.

However, he was a totally different dog the following day. “He was pawing at my legs because he wanted to be held,” Madeline remarked when I brought him back to work with me.

Madeleine formally adopted Toothless a few days later, and the two of them are now inseparable.

Toothless is having the time of his life right now. He is very protective and clinging to his mother since he loves her.

They don’t know what happened to his eyes, but he is still receiving treatment for heartworm. He is a happy and healthy elderly dog otherwise.
