Something odd drew the attention of Natalie Therese and her companion as they were returning home from a brief vacation near the Columbia River in Washington.
They noticed what appeared to be a hairy clump in the center of the road through the fog.

Knowing that she couldn’t simply abandon them, Natalie devised a cunning scheme. She led them in the correct route since she wanted to get them to a safer place.

I waited outside the car till the mother emerged and the three infants all rushed off the road at once. To make sure they wouldn’t dash back to the road, I waited for a few more minutes.

The cute otter family was greatly impacted by Natalie, but she was much more impacted by them.
The entire experience moved me to tears and left me feeling very touched. The beauty of nature and its creatures is breathtaking.
