Cybersecdn– In a chilling incident that has shaken the community of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Nazim Berry, a dedicated bodega worker aged 37, tragically lost his life in a brazen daylight shooting. The fatal altercation, which erupted outside Amin Deli at 801 Franklin Ave., unfolded amidst a dispute over a seemingly trivial matter – a Black and Mild cigar.
According to accounts provided by the victim’s grief-stricken mother, Danette Hollie, the confrontation originated inside the store when the assailant purportedly demanded a complimentary cigar from Berry, who steadfastly refused.
Eyewitnesses recounted a tense exchange escalating into a physical scuffle, prompting the assailant to retreat momentarily before returning with a firearm. The altercation, which transpired around 4:15 p.m., quickly turned fatal as the assailant callously fired a fatal shot into the back of Berry’s head. Despite efforts by emergency responders to save his life, Berry was pronounced dead upon arrival at Kings County Hospital Center, leaving behind a devastated family and a community in mourning.
