FBI Will Pay $15,000 for Capture of Man Involved in Mount Vernon Gunfight!

CybersecdnThe FBI has announced a $15,000 reward in connection with a fatal shooting in Mount Vernon, New York, as authorities continue their search for a suspect named Marco Tulio Fernandez-Rodriguez.

The shooting occurred in the early hours of last Tuesday at an establishment identified as an illegal smoke shop on South Fifth Avenue. Law enforcement sources reported that a group of suspects attempted to rob a warehouse supplying products to smoke shops. During the robbery, a shootout ensued between the suspects and warehouse employees, resulting in two fatalities.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Investigators identified one of the victims as a warehouse employee and linked the other to the suspects.

Authorities released new photos of Fernandez-Rodriguez on Friday, along with his full name, in hopes of generating leads in the investigation. Fernandez-Rodriguez remains at large, and the FBI urges anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

In a separate development, several individuals were apprehended near East Fordham Road and Hughes Avenue in the Bronx on Tuesday night. At least five men were taken into federal custody on charges including conspiracy to distribute narcotics, robbery, and murder, although it is unclear if they are directly linked to the Mount Vernon shooting.
