Amanda Hood was having a typical morning when she noticed something odd in the front lawn of her place of employment.

She initially believed it to be merely a contribution, but after giving the plastic container a closer look, she saw that something was shifting.

Hood made the decision to look into it; when she approached, she observed that the box had a hole bored in it and that steam was coming from it.

When she learned the truth—that it was eleven little puppies put in a plastic container—shock took control.

It was logical to conclude that someone didn’t want the puppies and simply dumped them there, but none of the employees knew how they got there.

“They were probably only there for an hour or so,” Hood told The Dodo. Because I doubt they would have survived for very long with those two small ventilation openings.

A Safe Future For The Puppies

The mom took the puppies to the Humane Society, where they would receive treatment, after realizing they couldn’t stay there.

They appeared to be in excellent health at the age of five weeks.Following their regular examinations, they were put in their designated area within the shelter, where they delighted in their surroundings.

They like to be held, feed, and sleep, Hood added. They are the most adorable infants.

Shortly thereafter, an issue emerged. The Calhoun County Humane Society, where they were housed, was overcrowded and simply could not care for so many young pups.

They had to move them to Forever Home Dog Rescue in Illinois, where they would all be placed in foster care, in order to give them a better chance at life.

These cute puppies will undoubtedly find a home that will love and care for them, despite the fact that their future may appear somewhat bleak.
