Justice Served: Brooklyn Vigilante Sentenced Tragic Bicycle Thief Death to 14 Years for Fatal Collision!
Cybersecdn– Korey Johnson, a 45-year-old auto mechanic from Brooklyn, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the manslaughter of 47-year-old Donald Roberts. The incident occurred on September 3, 2019, in Bushwick, Brooklyn, when Johnson witnessed Roberts breaking into his Jeep. Instead of reporting the crime to the police, Johnson pursued Roberts in his Jeep Grand Cherokee, ultimately striking and fatally injuring him with deliberate intent.
Johnson, initially charged with murder, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in Brooklyn Supreme Court. According to prosecutors, Johnson’s extreme reaction to witnessing a nonviolent crime led to the loss of Roberts’ life. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez condemned Johnson’s actions, emphasizing the unnecessary endangerment of others on the road.
In an interview conducted shortly after his arrest, Johnson claimed that his intention was not to kill Roberts but to apprehend him. He attributed the incident to the damaged state of his vehicle caused by Roberts’ earlier intrusion. Despite this assertion, Johnson’s actions resulted in tragic consequences, leaving Roberts’ family mourning the loss of their loved one.
