Both hotel employees and visitors were taken aback when a lone stray dog showed up in the parking lot of a Hyatt hotel in Texas.
The dog began visiting the parking lot every night when he realized that these people would be kind to him.
The hotel staff was thrilled to have him. They gave him food and showed him love.
Other than the fact that he required a lot of affection and company, they knew nothing about him.
Capturing The Dog
The hotel visitors ensured that their little companion ate delectable meals.
Jodi Leslie, the director of community engagement at Three Little Pitties Rescue, told The Dodo that they were all returning from their restaurants with gourmet meals, including steak, a whole pork chop, and fajitas.
The dog was appreciative of their generosity and assistance.
The dog was wandering around one day when a woman who was staying at the same hotel noticed him.
The Good Samaritan posted about him on Facebook, asking people to help him after realizing he was a stray.
Luckily, the woman’s message was noticed by Houston, Texas-based Three Little Pitties Rescue, a nonprofit group.
The rescuers were determined to save the puppy after learning that he had spent two months living in a parking lot.
One of the shelter employees brought the puppy home after the crew managed to catch him.
The stray pup found living in a foster home to be rather weird. He was drawn to life on the streets and found it difficult to unwind.
He disappeared the following day.
His foster mother looked everywhere but was unable to find the dog.
He was gone for three days. She was unable to locate him. “There was no sign of him,” Leslie said.
The Pup s New Beginning
The dog returned at the hotel parking lot, eight miles from his foster home, just as the crew was about to give up.
They were glad to see the dog again, but they had no idea how he had gotten so far in three days.
Professional trappers were called in by the rescuers, and they were successful in catching the dog.
Leslie made the decision to foster the dog. After the hotel from which he was rescued, she gave him the name Hyatt.
The hotel’s friends adored Hyatt and were sorry to see him go. They were aware, nevertheless, that their tiny comrade merited a fresh start and a caring family.
Hyatt found it difficult to adjust to his foster home. At first, he was apprehensive and uneasy.
Leslie was positive he had never had a family or a house.
She treated the dog with affection and allowed him time to relax.
Hyatt met his foster mom s own dogs and they began teaching him how to be a pet.
Slowly but surely, the pup started getting more comfortable.
Hyatt is still timid, but thanks to the patience and love that he received in his foster home, he is opening up more and more.
He likes jumping on Leslie s bed and asking for cuddles.
The delightful pup feels ready to start a new life with his forever family. He hopes to find patient and loving parents and doggy siblings with whom he could play as much as he wants.
