Jose Fernandes of Brockton has won a $1 million reward in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Diamond Deluxe $30 quick ticket game, according to the lottery. He is the first recipient of the $1 million prize in the 2025 Mass Lottery.
Fernandes received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes) for selecting the cash option for his award. He stated that he intends to use his money to buy a new house and vehicle.
R & K Food Mart, located at 77 Legion Pkwy. in Brockton, is where he bought his winning ticket. A bonus of $10,000 will be given to the retailer for selling this ticket.
