The claim that folks in southern Massachusetts don’t win large has been disproved. Bristol County recently saw the sale of a large winning scratch ticket from the State Lottery.
Family First Trust of Cumberland, Rhode Island has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Bonus 100X $10 quick ticket game, according to the lottery.
The trust decided to accept its award as a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes), as represented by trustee Andrew Nault.
The winning ticket was bought in South Easton at Highland Variety, 95 Highland St. When this ticket is sold, the retailer gets a bonus of $10,000.
There are still three $1 million and two $4 million winners in Bonus 100X.
