Massachusetts State Police, Fall River, and Somerset personnel respond to multi-vehicle crash with injuries on I-195

A late-night collision at the base of the Charles Braga Bridge prompted the response of Fall River, Somerset, and Massachusetts State Police.

Trooper Luis Blanco reported that troopers from the State Police Dartmouth barracks responded to a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 195 East around mile marker 10.8 in Somerset at around 11:30 p.m.

To help, Fall River Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene.

Due to their injuries, both drivers were sent to a nearby hospital.

Scanner communications indicated that one of the drivers needed to be rescued since they were trapped.

Investigations are underway on the crash.
