Megyn Kelly Casts Doubt on Trump’s Success in Stormy Daniels Lawsuit
Regarding former President Donald Trump’s legal troubles, Megyn Kelly, a former anchor who is now a podcast host, has made a daring prediction.
After Trump’s second defamation trial loss against E. Jean Carroll, Kelly anticipates another defeat for him in the upcoming trial involving Stormy Daniels.
In a recent episode of her podcast, Kelly lamented the outcome of Carroll’s case, asserting that Trump’s chances with the jury in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial are equally dismal.
Scheduled to commence on March 25 in New York, this trial implicates Trump in allegedly paying $130,000 to the adult film actress to conceal their affair. Prosecutors claim Trump attempted to pass off the payment as legal fees to his former attorney, Michael Cohen.
Kelly, known for her conservative stance, criticized Carroll’s celebration of the verdict alongside MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, labeling it stomach-turning and alleging political motives behind the lawsuit from the outset.
Kelly’s Foreboding Prediction
Using Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court as an example, which Kelly saw as a part of a planned campaign, she further voiced her doubt about Carroll’s image as a champion.
In addition to discussing Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit against former chairman Roger Ailes, Kelly’s podcast conversation also touched on her personal experiences with workplace harassment.
Kelly revealed her own encounters with harassment in her memoir, though she chose not to participate in the lawsuit. The aftermath of these events inspired the 2019 film Bombshell, in which Charlize Theron portrayed Kelly.
The Stormy Daniels trial is just one among several legal battles Trump faces, including charges in Florida for mishandling classified documents post-presidency, federal charges related to the 2016 election, and state charges in Georgia for alleged election interference.
Despite Trump’s efforts to shift the Daniels case to federal court, a move he abandoned in November, the legal challenges continue to mount. Kelly’s prediction underscores the uphill battle Trump faces in navigating these legal entanglements, suggesting that his courtroom struggles are far from over.
