Cybersecdn- Central New York is gearing up for a significant shift towards a technology-driven workforce. If plans proceed, Syracuse will soon house a new workforce development center, with additional locations across the state.
Governor Kathy Hochul’s State of the State address highlighted the ON-RAMP initiative – One Network for Regional Advanced Manufacturing Partnerships. This network will include four development centers in Upstate New York, including Syracuse, offering training in advanced manufacturing and construction, and connecting people with job opportunities.
Dominic Robinson, Senior VP of Inclusive Growth at Centerstate, emphasizes that many of these jobs require specific skills rather than advanced degrees. This initiative aims to transform the quality of life in Central New York, providing accessible opportunities in emerging industries.
