Pup Born Without A Nose Makes An Incredible Transformation After Being Saved By Rescuers From Virginia
Adri Herron, president of Sanctuary Rescue, a Midlothian, Virginia-based organization, was intrigued by an email she got from a breeder with the intriguing subject, “A newborn pit bull with no nose.”
The following day, the breeder gave the 20-hour-old puppy to Midlothian Rescue because she had no prior experience with such a youngster.
Adjustment Time
The puppy, now named Goosie, was in the ideal home because Sanctuary Rescue is a tiny foster-based rescue.
The roof of Goosie’s mouth was actually where her airways were. In addition, she was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism, which means that she would always have the appearance of a small puppy due to insufficient growth hormone production.
For the first five weeks, she accompanied me everywhere. Adri said, “She’s so feisty, I’m going to get kicked out of a restaurant because I’m smuggling puppies in.” I had just placed her in a tote bag, but she kept wriggling to the top and climbing out.
It’s also noteworthy that Goosie continued to drink from the bottle until she was fifteen weeks old, although most bottle infants only do so until they are four weeks old.
Scares And Frights
During her first several months with Adri, Goosie gave her a few scares.
She would occasionally become so ill that she had to be admitted to the hospital, spending four nights in the intensive care unit.
Goosie, though, was completely unaffected by this. She would be back on her feet as if nothing had occurred, just a few days after leaving the hospital.
She truly is deserving of all the praise. She has utterly amazed every doctor she has seen.
Slow Growth
It took a while for Goosie to realize, but when she went on the scale and showed everyone she weighed five complete pounds, she disproved everyone’s doubts!
She turned into a true diva as a result.
She adores other animals and is really independent. She enjoys chasing them. She always gets a boost when she hears the geese honing and the ducks quacking.
In addition, she enjoys playing competitively with cats and Adri’s 96-pound dog.
Goosie is so much more than an adult Pit Bull, even if many people don’t think she can have a healthy life.
A small pit bull puppy is the cutest thing ever, in my opinion. She was simply the best thing I had ever seen!
Thanks to Adri and the team’s unwavering and amazing affection, Goosie keeps developing in the warm and caring environment of Sanctuary Rescue.
Let this tale serve as a reminder that all dogs, regardless of their outward look, have hearts large enough to accommodate every human they encounter, and that deserves the greatest amount of love possible!
