Pup Dumped By Owner At A Public Bathroom In Louisiana Finds Hope When Her Rescuers Come To Help

Sometimes all you need is a small amount of faith.

Ladybird, a senior Black Lab, remained optimistic despite finding herself in a park restroom in Destrehan, Louisiana. She was temporarily left there with a tragic note from her owner, who at the time was in a very terrible circumstances.

Kind rescuers quickly located this adorable doggo girl, but what she received that day was much more than a straightforward rescue.

Ladybird s Story

It was tragic why Ladybird found herself in a public restroom.Since she was six weeks old, she and her owner have lived side by side and traveled the nation for nine incredible years.

The two would always head back to their North Carolina home when the trip became tiresome. After spending some time there with the family, they would set out on another adventure.

However, when Ladybird’s owner wound up homeless in Louisiana, things took a turn for the worse.

at an effort to save as much money as he can so that he and the dog can return to North Carolina, he has been living at a shelter.

He made the decision to spend the night in a restroom with Ladybird as the two became stranded without a car or a roof over their heads.

He left a note requesting that anyone who finds Ladybird treat her with kindness and stating that he will return in the morning. In case the dog needed water, he even left some.

Journey Home

When the owner showed up at the location where he had left his dog the following morning, she had left. He called animal control right away, and they informed him that Ladybird had been taken to the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter.

This generous group of rescuers chose to assist after learning the whole story of Ladybird and her owner.

The crew felt compelled to help this devoted couple who had supported one another for so many years, even if their situation wasn’t typical.

They were able to transfer Ladybird to the Virginia Beach SPCA after contacting them. The dog was taken in by this incredible team, who also made sure she had a good bath and a day of pampering at the nearby spa.

The crew gave her a delicious pupachino as a reward for being such a good girl when she finished the treatment.

Following the public release of Ladybird’s story, several pet organizations agreed to help her return home safely.

In addition to providing Ladybird with medical attention and pet necessities, they gathered money for the travel home. When this lovely girl finally made it to her family’s house in North Carolina, she had the most adorable reunion with her grandmother.

After a long separation, the two were ecstatic to see one another again.

Later, her owner contacted his dog’s rescuers to provide them with an update on Ladybird’s and his circumstances.

In North Carolina, Ladybird is doing great with her family! The VBSPCA team posted on Facebook, “We received a lot of inquiries regarding her human in Louisiana, and we would like to let everyone know that he is doing well and is very happy that Ladybird is back.”

Thanks to a group of big-hearted individuals motivated solely by their love for animals, the two were finally allowed to resume their regular lives after all the misery they had endured!
