If Ralph had the ability to communicate, I’m positive he would disagree. This courageous young man has every right to assert otherwise. From the outset of his life, it was nothing short of a great miracle.
Ralph still faced numerous challenges. Given that he lived in a hoarder scenario with over 60 animals, his early puppyhood was anything but easy.
That things would take such a spectacular turn in such a short period of time was unthinkable to him.
Ralph Is The Epitome Of Hope
If I had to sum up Ralph in a single word, it would be hope! Ralph’s biography is quite fascinating, as he was born in a place that was far from what could be considered humane conditions, along with dozens of other animals.
It Takes A Village Animal Rescue, located in Muscatine, Iowa, is the charity that saved him. Ralph was placed in foster care as soon as he was discovered in such a terrible circumstance.
That didn’t last long, though.
After a few days in his new residence, Ralph’s behavior began to catch the family’s attention. Without even attempting to use his front and rear legs, he scampered across the floor.
Ralph also lay on his belly and chest all the time.
His new family was genuinely taken aback. For this reason, they made the decision to notify the rescue, which finally led to Ralph receiving a comprehensive examination at the veterinarian. Unfortunately, the outcomes weren’t excellent at all.
According to the Iowa rescue, this young boi had swimmer syndrome, a developmental abnormality characterized by laterally splayed limbs. In the end, it simply indicated that Ralph was incapable of walking or even standing.
Ralph’s caregivers, however, would not give up so simply. They made the decision to transfer him to another foster home for critical care, where he was accepted by a wonderful family.
In order to accept this special-needs boy for who he was, Sarah Evans and her roommates greeted him with open arms. Giving Ralph love and encouragement, however, meant a lot more to him. It meant a fighting chance and hope!

As time passed, some things remained the same. Ralph was always trying to move and attempt new things because his resilient spirit was just getting stronger. Additionally, his family undoubtedly assisted in the process.
Ralph’s family and friends gave him a therapy track and brand-new braces. He shocked his loved ones every day and performed exceptionally well in therapy.
Until it eventually did
Ralph and his father were playing together as usual one day when something remarkable was captured on camera. This courageous child once got to his feet and started running like a dog in perfect health.

Once too frail to even stand on his own two feet, the dog now joyfully chases his father around the home. And he smiles as he does it!
Ralph did, in fact, overcome every obstacle. He is a living example of how love can triumph over any challenge, even one as significant as an innate physical impairment.
He is now more content than ever, enjoying life’s little pleasures and being grateful that he uses all four paws in his travels like he ought to!
