Peanut Butter and Jelly received a lot of attention after they were rescued from the streets and taken to Sonoma County Animal Services in California.
The workers saw something sparkling on their foreheads as soon as they got to the shelter.
The fact that the dogs had jewelry affixed to their foreheads startled and perplexed the shelter officials as they approached the puppies.
Many of the shelter’s staff had long been involved in animal care, but they had never witnessed anything like that.
The Adorable Duo Finds A Home
Jelly is a female Chihuahua mix, and Peanut Butter is a Beagle and Pug cross. The veterinary staff determined that the glue and diamonds needed to be taken out once they got to the shelter. They sought to ensure that there were no dangerous ingredients in the adhesive.
It was found that the adhesive had no negative effects on the dogs’ health once it was removed. But Peanut Butter and Jelly suffered a second burn, leaving their foreheads scarred.
The dogs were well aside from that, and they were excited to start over and find their forever parents.
When a beautiful family came along and gave the dogs a wonderful home, the dogs were pleased. They were cherished and cared for by their family.Unfortunately, the pups had no one else to take care of them after their owner died.
At The Shelter Once Again
They were returned to Animal Services in Sonoma County.
Peanut Butter and Jelly were moved to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, a non-profit in San Francisco that assists dogs older than seven in finding their forever homes, because they were now seniors.
Lisa Arden, their foster mother, provided them with excellent care. She offered them all of her love and hugged with them.
They get along nicely with other dogs and are incredibly sweet and gregarious creatures. They both display their goofy characteristics as they continue to grow in foster care. Both of them are still very active and like playing and running about. Arden told The Dodo, “They are simply the most amazing dogs.”
Arden claimed that Jelly was in charge of Peanut Butter despite the fact that both dogs had strong personalities. She enjoyed giving him instructions.
A Forever Home
Their foster mother created a TikTok video on the two dogs after they were placed in foster care for three months without receiving any applications for adoption. In an effort to expand their pool of possible adopters, she shared them with her followers.
The video became widely shared. Many people on the internet fell in love with the adorable puppies and their captivating personality.
Arden posted some wonderful news on her Instagram on October 26, 2023. Their new father met up virtually with Peanut Butter and Jelly. They had a great time.
Arden expressed her confidence that the dogs had found the ideal home. When the adoption is complete, they can’t wait to ride into the sunset with their new father.
