Dogs are creatures that, in order to survive, require the love of their favorite persons at all times. This is particularly true when a mother dog gives birth to her young offspring. That’s when she needs human assistance the most.

Regretfully, a lot of individuals treat dogs like toys without even considering the above stated facts. After learning of a mother dog whose family had cruelly abandoned her, the staff of One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Akron, Ohio, saw just this.

Her only transgression was giving birth to twelve more puppies than her family had anticipated.

A Terrific Mom

Tanya Jonda, the executive director of One of a Kind Pet Rescue, was devastated to learn of the fate of Violet, the mother dog, and her newborn pups.

Tanya told The Dodo, “I received a call from a woman in Columbus who is my daughter’s friend.”After seeing a Facebook post from someone claiming the mama and puppies had been dumped on their property, she decided to take them home.

Tanya chose to care for Violet and her children despite being aware of the challenging task that lay ahead of her. She simply couldn’t refuse these sad, defenseless creatures.

When the staff first arrived at their Akron, Ohio, location, they saw that the mother dog was blind in one eye, coated in fleas, and terribly malnourished. Violet was an excellent mother to her children, though, as evidenced by the fact that her children were healthy.

The puppies were given names that begin with the letter V. Despite being such a big litter, they get along great and always sleep in a pile. Their craving for comfort and desertion could be the cause of this.”Tanya said.”

Thankfully, a better future was undoubtedly in store for this dog family because of the kindhearted people who chose to assist them.

Better Days Ahead

The One of a Kind Pet Rescue Facebook post states that in order for this dog family to get in shape, they needed 26 DhPP vaccinations, 26 de-worming treatments, one heartworm test for mom, 13 spay/neuter surgeries, 13 flea/tick preventions, 13 heartworm preventions, 13 microchips, and one rabies vaccine for mom.

The rehabilitation was more than effective because of their dedication and the numerous donations from kindhearted individuals. Mom’s heart was filled with joy as she witnessed the puppies’ gradual development into happy, healthy dogs.

All of the puppies were soon prepared for adoption. The Dodo claims that while mom and the other half of the litter had to wait a little longer, the other six of them found their permanent homes rather fast.

According to Tanya, Violet is a kind girl with a great personality who adores both other dogs and people in general. However, we all know that the pups are a surefire way to bring joy and happiness to whatever home they visit, so there’s no need to say anything more about them.
