Sawyer is a very optimistic puppy.
He spent every day hoping after he and his littermates were rescued from a puppy mill and taken to a shelter in Wisconsin. Subsequently, one of his siblings was adopted, followed by another.
In the end, Sawyer was the only member of his family whose dreams had not come true. Behind those bars, he begged people to take notice of him at least once, and his heart broke.
At the time, Sawyer was unaware that fate had other plans for him; he only needed to wait a bit longer!
Heartbroken To Be Left Out
Sawyer was a timid puppy when he came to Elmbrook Humane Society in Wisconsin. He could fit in a pocket and was nothing more than a little bundle of happiness. But because of his traumatic history, he was extremely afraid of his new surroundings.
Sawyer was exploited and used like a number in a puppy mill as part of a horrible scheme before he could figure things out. Fortunately, he and his siblings were saved before he could carry out his mission.
However, his bad luck didn’t stop at the shelter.
Sawyer went through a very different kind of heartache as an adoptive dog. His littermates were no longer present, but he was now receiving all the love and care.
Sawyer had to deal with emotions of emptiness after they were all adopted into loving families one by one.
This little cattle dog gave the people the most sad face as he pleaded for a chance from his small cage. He needed a family badly, yet in a sense, he was adrift without them.
On the inside, he was a puppy who could provide a happy family with a lifetime of love, a loyal companion, and a sweetie.
Sawyer is a charming but timid puppy who is still getting used to life away from the puppy mill where he was raised. According to his Shelterluv profile, despite his initial timidity, his gentle and lovely nature suggests that he is destined to be a loving companion.
Sawyer waited for a positive change for several days. Then a family entered and permanently changed his life.
Finally, Good News
Sawyer is shown in the arms of his new family in the social media update video that the Elmbrook Humane Society crew shared. Amazing adoptive parents finally saw him and agreed to take him on a journey that would change his life and find him a forever home!
Update: Sawyer isn’t in a cone, depressed, or lonely anymore! In the video, EHS expressed gratitude to Sawyer’s adoptive family for their decision to adopt him and to everyone who shared his story.
Sawyer won’t have to cope with heartbreak ever again.
I hope that his days ahead will be full with happiness, smiles, lots of outdoor activities, and thrilling adventures! After all, he is a cattle dog!
