The Regional Sideshow Enforcement Team (RESET) launched an offensive over the weekend to put a halt to unlawful car stunts and stop the mayhem before it could further damage Hayward’s streets.

A planned sideshow near Mission Boulevard and Harder Road was canceled by the multi-agency task force, which combines the resources of the Hayward Police Department, California Highway Patrol, San Leandro Police Department, and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

The RESET team’s most recent operation resulted in multiple interruptions and arrests through strategic positioning based on intelligence received. “The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office” reported on Facebook that their campaign resulted in 65 traffic stops, 21 citations, and a dragnet that resulted in 6 misdemeanor and 5 felony arrests.

Ten cars that were put on the tow list and two weapons, complete with large capacity magazines, were also taken in the sweep.

Law police underlined the dangers of unlawful sideshow gatherings and how they can quickly turn into reckless car shows. They also stressed the importance of using cutting edge technology to apprehend individuals who are planning to flee the area.

Aggressive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) deployment and air assistance from other agencies, such as the ACSO, CHP, and OPD, collaborated to make sure none escaped the net, according to the post published by the Sheriff’s Office.

As the weekend’s potentially disruptive events came to an end, it was evident that the RESET team had been successful in preserving public safety and order. Their cooperative strategy proves that when law enforcement unites, rogue drivers are defeated. With unqualified gratitude, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said, “Thank you, RESET, for your outstanding work toward achieving safer communities.”
