When Tinker’s owners chose to turn her over to a shelter in Florida, she recently went through that pain. She immediately cut herself off from the outside world and gave up on life when she learned she was alone within four kennel walls.

With Tinker’s video, Dali, a South Florida animal rescuer who is well-known for sharing heartbreaking dog stories on her TikTok account, moved the entire internet to tears.
She displayed this tiny ball of hair in a tiny kennel, sitting for hours in the same spot, facing the wall.
Dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in the shelter experience this. Tinker has given up on finding a home for herself. Dali wrote, “She spends hours sitting with her back to the wall.”
Tinker had just lost her cherished family and was now alone in the world with no chance whatsoever of ever relocating.
Even worse, because she was perceived as violent by everyone who encountered her, she has been continuously ignored in the shelter. In actuality, Tinker is not a mischievous dog at all. She is the cutest girl who detests being picked up yet loves to be held.
Tinker views being picked up as a threat because of her trauma, which many people mistake for hostility.
