Special Massachusetts boy who died suddenly remembered for infectious positivity and laughter

We are honoring a child from Massachusetts who passed away tragically last week.

Jack Murray, 12, of Weymouth, passed away on Tuesday following a skiing accident at Cranmore Mountain in New Hampshire that involved him hitting a tree.

His loved ones recalled him in an obituary on Friday for his contagious humor and optimism.

He constantly finds the best in people and is a patient and compassionate person. Jack delivers the greatest hugs and is kind and caring. We are all better people for having knowing Jack, who is the best child a parent could ask for.

It was obvious that the seventh-grader at Chapman Middle School was a unique boy.

He loved drawing, painting, building, inventing, and playing drums and trombone in the Chapman Middle School Band. He was an entrepreneur who began selling items from thrift stores on eBay. He drew and marketed caricatures for the neighborhood and sold cookies to nearby eateries. He even designed shirts, started a clothing line, and established an internet store by himself.

Jack also loved swimming, boating, basketball, soccer, wrestling, paddle boarding, and watching movies at the Cameo with his buddies, as if he had any spare time.

On Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM, family members and guests are welcome to visit the family at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH, located at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A near Bicknell Square). The family requests that you donate to the Maria Chapman Middle School Band at https://gofund.me/590645ad in place of flowers.
