Sweet Doggo Who Spent 700 Days In The Shelter Had To Watch His Friends Go While Nobody Wanted Him

I find it heartbreaking that Hashbrown has not been informed that his prolonged stay in the shelter is not his fault.

The definition of the ideal dog is this incredible Pittie mix. He is gentle, doesn’t bark excessively, enjoys playing, cares about people, and is unquestionably a lifelong friend.

Unfortunately, he is frequently ignored in his kennel just because of his breed because of the Pitbull Ban in the state of Arkansas.

Hashbrown will commemorate the two-year mark of being a shelter dog in October 2024, and he is devastated.

All He Wants Is A Family

On October 14, 2022, Hashbrown came at the Sherwood Humane Animal Shelter in Sherwood, Arkansas. This black-and-white boy has been the sweetest lovebug ever since he was saved.

He has been living at the shelter since October 14, 2022, which is a very lengthy period of time to be homeless. According to his adoption profile, he is probably ignored since he is very quiet, doesn’t bark, and doesn’t say things like, “Hey! tail wag, tail wag, jump, jump look at me!”

Unfortunately, his breed—a Pitbull mix—does not help him.

Because of the Pitbull ban in the state where he lives, which has been a nightmare, all of his possible adopters keep passing him over.

Hashbrown is compelled to sit in a tiny kennel and watch all of his companions get adopted rather than go into a nice, comfortable home.

Even the darkest turn of events, like his, cannot make Hashbrown’s adorable smile go away. Despite the stereotypes about his breed, he is a natural lover who is constantly eager to play and make new friends.

One of the volunteers who assists Hashbrown on his regular excursions, Susan, has seen personally his amazing personality.

She shared a devastating video of Hashbrown resting in his small cell on his favorite blankie, staring at onlookers with the saddest eyes, on the occasion of his 600-day milestone at the Arkansas shelter.

confined in a kennel for more than 600 days and nights. How unfortunate for Hashbrown. It’s completely unfair! In the video, Susan commented, “He needs a hero ASAP.”

Still Waiting

The Hashbrown’s adopters are close by, and the SHAS team sincerely hopes they are.

He doesn’t benefit from his extended stay at the shelter; each day is just terrible. Despite how nice and well-mannered they may be by nature, dogs find the shelter atmosphere stressful, even though it is safe.

Hashbrown continues to hope his patience won’t be in vain.

He has already received all of his current vaccinations, been neutered, and been microchipped.

His dream house would include a large yard, a well-secured six-foot fence, no little pets, and maybe a female dog. But I have no doubt that Hashbrown would also flourish as the sole pet.

Hurry, because he is eager to meet and greet his prospective owners at the shelter!
