Cybersecdn– In comments on Tuesday, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) said that the case against former President Trump for meddling in the 2016 election in Georgia, which is being handled by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D), seems more political.
However, Georgia’s governor said that he needs to be “careful” when talking about the subject. He also said that he thinks the case has become “more political” since Willis admitted to dating Nathan Wade, the lawyer she hired for the case.
While on NewsNation Tuesday, Kemp said, “I have to be careful about what I say here because I was subpoenaed by Fani with Willis in the Special Grand Jury.” “But it’s hard to believe that her actions and those of Mr. Wade and others have made a process that many people, including myself, already think is very political, no matter how good the case is, even more political.”
Terrence Bradley, Wade’s former lawyer, went back on the stand on Tuesday because a judge said he had to give more information about Willis’ friendship with Wade. There is a connection between Wade and Willis, but both have said it began after Wade was hired to work on the case.
Bradley was the defense’s star witness, but when he testified on Tuesday, he denied knowing when Wade and Willis started dating. Bradley said, “I have no idea that it started or when it started.”

Kemp was asked to appear in court by Willis as part of her probe. He tried to get the subpoena thrown out in 2022, but in August of that year, a judge said he had to go to court. It was Tuesday, and Kemp said that he trusts Fulton County Superior Judge Scott McAfee to make a “good” choice.
Kemp said, “I’m sure Judge McAfee will make the right choice, and then we can move on.” Neostar Media Group is the parent company of both The Hill and NewsNation.
