According to recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, a Central Valley location is one of the cities in the country with the quickest rate of growth.

According to the federal agency, Lathrop was one of the top 10 American cities with the greatest population growth between July 1, 2022, and July 1, 2023.

Texas has the most cities on the list of any state, with eight of them boasting rapid population increase, according to Census statistics. The majority of the top 15 cities that witnessed the highest population growth during that time period are in the Northeast and Midwest.

The Census Bureau reports that the city of Celina, Texas, had the fastest-growing population, adding 43,317 new inhabitants in only one year.

Ranking No. 5 on the Census Bureau’s list of the fastest growing cities in the US was Lathrop, the only Californian community.

Located in San Joaquin County, the Central Valley city is about ten miles south of Stockton.

There was a 13.6% growth in Lathrop’s population between July 1, 2022, and July 1, 2023.

39,857 people called the city home as of July 2023.
