Seeing our favorite pet buddies confined to a kennel is just as devastating. Unfortunately, a lot of these dogs have never known what it’s like to live with a loving family in a warm home.
But it’s particularly tough for dogs that have lived with their loved ones for a long period and then find themselves in a chilly, dim shelter.
Our canine pals’ feelings during such times are aptly captured by the dejected expression of a dog that was recently placed in a Florida shelter.
Eyes Full Of Sorrow
For a long time, Ziggy had lived in a comfortable environment where she was accustomed to being kissed and given warm embraces.
She did, however, end up in the Florida shelter run by the Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation one day.
They claim that when her owner grew old and ill, the other members of the family were unable to care for her. They turned her over to their shelter for that reason.
The most tragic aspect of the whole incident, though, was that Ziggy was turned in wearing a tutu dress and a collection of her clothes.
One woman decided to videotape her wearing that clothing and sharing the footage with her TikTok followers through her account, @_thatdoggirl_, after noticing her with sad eyes behind the kennel’s bars.
Ziggy, who works at Saving Sage Animal Rescue, is at a meet and greet today, but she has a meet and greet today.
She wrote in the video that she was turned over to the shelter in her tutu dress and her whole clothing in a garbage bag.
Ziggy’s eyes show a great deal of confusion and sadness when we look closely at her. When we also consider that she is wearing a pink outfit, this film takes on a really tragic quality.
