California correctional guards acted quickly after seeing a small invader in their parking lot.
They made unsuccessful attempts to become friends with the fuzzy creature for weeks. There was nowhere else for this furball to go, but she was simply too afraid to allow anyone come near her. For this reason, the guards devised a different strategy rather than upsetting her.
After setting up a comfortable bed and leaving food for her in a corner, they got in touch with Irvine, California-based rescue veteran Suzette Hall.
She Was So Scared Of Everyone
The creator of Logan’s Legacy, Hall, gave up everything to assist the needy animal. She recognized the invader as a small Chihuahua after looking over the photos the guards had supplied her.
For over two weeks, she wandered the parking lot and wouldn’t let anyone come close.
For two weeks, this small child was in a jail parking lot. Hall remarked in a Facebook post, “It makes me sad to think she was there all alone and so scared for so long.”
The guards who attempted to make friends with the dog left food for her every day, but she declined assistance. In order to provide her a comfortable place to sleep, they also set up a dog bed.
The dog—later named Tiny—frantically fled once more when Hall first approached her. Since stray dogs frequently exhibited similar behavior, Hall understood how to safely trap her.
She waited after setting up a humane trap with a bed inside. She discovered Tiny in it not just thirty minutes later. She had been living alone for so many days, and now she was safe!
Hall broke out in floods of happiness as she realized Tiny was finally headed for a fresh start.
Her two weeks of loneliness were finally coming to an end, so I sobbed. “At last, this little girl was safe,” Hall wrote.
She had no idea that just a few weeks later, the life of this courageous dog would be forever altered!

Tiny changed into a completely different dog in a few of weeks. She gradually emerged from her shell following the required veterinary care at a nearby clinic.
Hall was ecstatic to watch her develop into the gregarious social butterfly she had always been. Suddenly, Tiny started to sleep better, make friends, and feel more at ease in social situations.
