Because of this regrettable development, the shelter staff members themselves were also devastated, particularly upon witnessing the dejected expressions on their faces.

It’s evident from the video that these two dogs are completely unaccustomed to life at a shelter. For a breed like beagles, they are remarkably quiet, house-trained, and well-behaved.
This is also demonstrated by the fact that, while they were joyful and playful in their caring home, they abruptly collapsed upon arriving at the shelter.
