Missing since September 19, 2018, after reportedly planning to meet an ex-boyfriend, her case remains an unresolved enigma, shrouded in uncertainty and despair.
Born on March 15, 1993, in The Bronx to Ingrid Santana, Kassandra’s early life was marked by the loss of her father at a young age. Despite this and other challenges, she endeavored to create a better life for herself and her young son. Living with her cousin on Melrose Avenue, she was hopeful about starting a new job the following month, a sign of her aspirations and resilience.
Her disappearance occurred under baffling circumstances. On September 17, Kassandra spent time with her sister Rhianna and their mother, indulging in ordinary activities like nail appointments and dining out. These moments, unbeknownst to them, would soon turn into poignant memories. Two days later, Kassandra set out to meet her ex-boyfriend, John “Kilo” O’Brien, but never returned. The last confirmed sighting of her was captured on camera at 11:40 pm near her home, assisting an elderly lady with groceries.

The investigation into her disappearance hit several roadblocks. Kassandra left behind essential items like her passport and driver’s license but took her iPhone. Intriguingly, she had recently testified in a rape case, adding complexity to her sudden disappearance. O’Brien’s shifting narratives to the police further muddled the investigation. He initially denied meeting Kassandra that day but later claimed to have dropped her at a subway station, a statement unsupported by evidence. Moreover, Kassandra is said to have made a phone call the following morning, reportedly stating she was with O’Brien.
