This time, when the SPCA of Petersburg & Colonial Heights workers discovered an open chip box and heard little cries coming from inside, it was the same.
Despite their complete sadness, they made the decision to make this story a happy one.
Poor Little Ones
The SPCA workers in Colonial Heights, Virginia, immediately surmised what it might be when they heard whining coming from within an open chip box.
Although they privately hoped they were mistaken, a look inside validated their suspicions. Seven defenseless puppies were in this box, abandoned by a callous individual. Because of this circumstance, these people were not only devastated but also furious.
The puppies most likely wouldn’t have survived at 45 to 50 degrees this morning, so they were also glad they were found.
They immediately hurried them into the heated structure and started to warm and clean them. They gave them everything they required, including a cozy blanket and a clean tote.
However, these individuals were aware that it would be extremely challenging to care for and feed them without a mother present.
They chose to contact for assistance for that reason.
Finally Safe And Sound
The SPCA contacted Richmond Ruff House, a rescue group based in Richmond, Virginia, due to this particular circumstance. They were glad to assist even though they were nearly at capacity.
A warm blanket and a comfortable bed greeted the fur babies as soon as they arrived. Most significantly, since they lacked a mother to nurse them, a foster dog named Libby was meant to do so.
It was worth a try to see whether they would like Libby because she is still nursing her puppies. No luck this far. But Libby is more than willing!In their Facebook post, the rescue wrote.
This implied that they would have to bottle feed them, which is more costly and highly demanding. The volunteers and staff at the rescue couldn’t give up on these puppies since they were so moved by their tragic destiny.
Nevertheless, due to the high cost of the feeding formula, donations were still required. Thankfully, a large number of kindhearted people replied and gave money, ensuring the little puppies had all they required to survive.
Thanks to a lot of kind people, these puppies are now at last safe and sound. But before they all find their forever homes, they still have a long way to go.
