Woman Saw An Animal Watching Her From A Hillside Only To Realize What It Really Was

For all those wandering animals without food, water, or shelter, hot summer days can be stressful.

One woman in her area observed something on a hillside on a particularly hot California day.

She initially believed this enigmatic creature to be a coyote, but after staring at it for three days in a row, she realized it was actually an abandoned dog—the same one that had been featured on the Nextdoor app for weeks.

The poor creature must have been hot and tired.

Helpless On A Hot Hillside

Many neighbors saw this dog in various locations throughout their area over the course of two weeks, but nobody filed a missing person’s report.

The woman decided to contact Suzanne Hall, a local rescuer from Irvine, California, because she felt that something was off.

That day was really hot. Despite my dizziness, I reasoned that she must be hotter, Hall told The Dodo.

Fortunately, Suzette was able to use the access they had from their yard because the dog was so far up on a slope that it was hard for her to get up to her.

There was no doubt that Hall was not going to give up.

She could see the poor dog’s state when she eventually ascended the steep hillside to the spot among the bushes where it was sheltering to stay cool.

According to Hall, it was evident that she hadn’t had any water in days.

She then filled a big dish with water and placed a trap with rewards close by. The dog refused to enter the trap despite being so hot that she nearly instantly drank the water.

Hall claims that it felt like hours and hours passed.

She ultimately managed to approach the dog and engage in some conversation with her, but it was insufficient to apprehend her.

She wasn’t able to trick her into falling into the trap until she went to fetch some fresh chicken.

After placing the chicken in the trap, I turned to go when I heard it close. I spun around and burst into tears. Hall noted in one of her Facebook posts, “I was hot and tired and couldn’t hold back my emotions because this was such a hard rescue because of the location she was in.”

Upon closer inspection, she discovered that the dog in the trap was a little, approximately seven-month-old Belgian Malinois puppy.

Hall and her buddy made the decision to call firefighters for assistance because she was unable to manually move the trap down the hill.

After weeks of wandering around, they were finally able to rescue this puppy out of the sun with the assistance of four generous firefighters.

A Little Ray Of Sunshine

Because she is a dazzling light of sunshine and because it was so hot, I named her Sunshine,” Hall added.

The name was almost a perfect fit for her personality and circumstances. Although they are unsure of her past, they were confident that she will gradually turn into a ray of brightness.

She’s simply terrified. She simply shakes when you try to pet her. According to Hall, that is normal for someone who has been homeless for a long time.

Sunshine was taken right away to the veterinarian in Irvine so she could relax. She was showered with affection by everyone at the facility, which restored part of her trust.

Sunshine went to a wonderful foster home when she had finished unwinding. Sunshine’s new foster mother, Brittany, is an amazing dog trainer and just what she needed right now.

For this lovely girl, it was only sunlight for days after that.

Sunshine was formally adopted once her foster mother became her furever parent.

In one response, Brittany stated, “I was fostering at first, but after she approached me and kissed me for the first time, it was over, and I asked to adopt her.”

Sunshine currently likes spending days with her fuzzy older sister Akeela and is pampered and loved.
