Have you ever found yourself anticipating a surprise for your dog just to have him decide he doesn’t want it?

Yes, I have, and I always feel conflicted about whether I was late or if I did something incorrectly. I make an effort to lift their spirits, but it’s not always successful.

Louise had a similar experience when she rented out a field to surprise one of her rescued dogs. Things did not proceed as planned, as we shall see.

How Could I Not See It Coming?!

On a typical day, Louise chose to surprise Faith, one of her rescued dogs, by taking her to a field that she had rented so she could run about freely and have fun. She merely wished for Faith to have the most dog-friendly garden possible.

Faith is a very content puppy who enjoys playing and running, so her owner thought this would be a great chance for her to enjoy herself.

Louise enjoys taking her other dogs there and typically does this on a semi-regular basis. It was Faith’s turn now, with pleasure.

Rain began to fall suddenly just as they were about to set out on this incredible new adventure after driving all the way to the field.

Since Faith detests rain, this became a significant deal breaker right away, and she made the decision to hide from the rain until it stopped.

Before it even started, the journey was over.Sitting in her little shelter, Louise recorded her youngster because she found the whole affair amusing.

An Interesting Reaction On Internet

Other dog owners who thought the incident was humorous and relatable responded in droves after she shared the full brief video on TikTok.

One response read: “My staffie loves swimming so much that he goes in and out of the lake, river, etc.” When it starts to rain, he flees for cover.

Yes, I believe that this applies to the majority of dogs.Even though my German Shepherd enjoyed spending hours roaming around the house, he detested rain.

“This is so true,” commented another. If I wanted to take my staffy for a stroll in the rain, he pretended to be hurt and began to limp. The greatest dog ever

Alright, so I had no idea that they could become cunning enough to trick their owners into not letting them go for a walk in the rain. Every day you get fresh knowledge.

Finally, someone said, “Oh no, I couldn’t.” I got a collie for this reason—no weather-related problems. Although they appear large and resilient, staffys are actually merely delicate infants.

Alright, that proves it now. They are still very energetic and affectionate, and many other dogs find it difficult to match their energy.

Looking at this specific story, I suppose we can say that we learned something about this breed. The rain truly bothers them.

Even yet, this is a fascinating tale that illustrates the difficulties faced by all dog owners when their pets refuse to participate in something engaging. Faith deserves another opportunity to enjoy running in the field with her brothers, so I hope she does.
