Dartmouth high school student facing assault with intent to murder, other charges after incident involving another student

Dartmouth, Massachusetts There are some significant charges against a high school student in the area.

Dartmouth Police responded to a 911 call from within the Dartmouth High School, situated at 555 Bakerville Road, on Wednesday at around 10:30 a.m., according to the police.

When cops arrived, they discovered that two students had gotten into a fight in the hallway, but that one of them had escaped into a nearby office, causing them to be separated. According to the results of the inquiry, the suspect—a fellow student they knew—came up to the victim in the hallway and tried to stab her with a pen and a screwdriver. The victim managed to escape the suspect without suffering any physical harm. When the school declared a shelter in place so that police and school personnel could find the weapon, the two students were securely separated.

Charges against the suspect include assault with a deadly weapon, assault with intent to murder, assault and battery, and assault with intent to cause serious bodily damage. The suspect was taken into custody and taken to a nearby hospital.
