Trump’s Financial Independence: Turns Down Haley-Related Contributions

Former President Donald Trump has escalated his efforts to sideline Nikki Haley from the GOP primary race, issuing a preemptive disinvitation to her supporters from the MAGA camp.

In a social media post on Wednesday night, Trump unequivocally stated his refusal to accept funds from donors backing Haley’s campaign, declaring them unwelcome in the MAGA movement.

Trump asserted, “Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp.” “We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!”

Trump’s declaration followed his decisive victory in New Hampshire, where he triumphed over  the former South Carolina governor for the second time, despite Haley enjoying support from prominent GOP donors.

Calls for Haley to exit the race and throw her support behind Trump have been echoed by the former president and his allies since before the voting commenced.

Nevertheless, Trump’s social media message lacked details on the strategy or mechanisms that would be employed to implement and ensure the prohibition of contributions to Haley’s campaign. The former president did not provide specifics on how he intends to enforce the restriction on donors aligned with Nikki Haley.

Despite her setback in the Granite State on Tuesday night, Haley remains resolute, vowing to persist in challenging Trump for the GOP nomination.

Speaking at a rally in South Carolina, she announced that her campaign had raised $1 million in predominantly small-dollar donations since the previous night. “We have raised $1 million since I gave that speech last night  online, in small dollars,” Haley declared. “We have had 200,000 donors from all 50 states. Ninety-five percent of those donations are $200 or less.”

Haley responded angrily to Trump’s order on the social networking site X, which was once known as Twitter: “Well in that case…donate here. Let’s Go!”
