According to Los Angeles police, a guy was taken into custody last month after attempting to hit an adult film star’s motorcycle with a golf club and beat the victim.

While riding his motorcycle on April 2, James Gosselin, 26, is accused of attempting to run over an adult video star known as “Hamilton” in an LAPD search warrant affidavit. Hamilton had produced an erotic film with his ex-girlfriend, and that made Gosselin envious, according to the probable cause statement on the warrant. The former asked to be called by her stage name, “Ivy,” expressing fear for her security.

According to jail records, Gosselin was charged with attempted murder on April 4 and freed the next day after posting a $1 million bond.

According to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department arrest records, he was also charged with two charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. In addition, he is expected to face additional charge for unlawfully possessing a loaded pistol in public.

On May 3, Gosselin entered a not guilty plea to all counts. He is expected to appear in court for a preliminary hearing in Van Nuys on June 6. A call for comment from Michael Moshe Levin, his lawyer, went unanswered.

According to the search warrant affidavit, Hamilton was riding his motorbike in the claimed attack on April 2 when he lost his balance due to a vehicle’s repeated contact with his back wheel. When Hamilton turned to face LAPD investigators, he saw Gosselin struggle to put on a ski mask and then get out of his car while brandishing a golf club.

According to the warrant statement, Gosselin struck Hamilton once on his lower back with enough force to create bruises after missing many other times.

With a hit to the face, Hamilton managed to tackle Gosselin and shatter his orbital bone, according to the police. When the cops showed up, they took Gosselin into arrest without any problems. Police found an undetectable ghost pistol, ski mask, and golf club in Gosselin’s car, and he acknowledged owning them.

According to the warrant paperwork, Gosselin was taken to the hospital by the police and then discharged for an undisclosed “medical reason.”

On April 3, Hamilton received texts from pals alerting him to the fact that Gosselin was no longer in the hospital and that he was being sought after, he told LAPD Detective Gerardo Rivera.

Hamilton confided in Rivera that Gosselin’s “demeanor and reputation of carrying a firearm” made him fear for his safety.

According to a mutual friend of the two men, Gosselin was unhappy about the breakup he had with Ivy and the relationship she had with Hamilton.

The common acquaintance also stated in the warrant affidavit that Gosselin informed her he intended to borrow a truck, wait for Hamilton on the street, kill him, and dispose of his body in the truck.

Not only was Gosselin emotionally unstable, but she was also “willing to shoot it out with police officers when arrested,” as she informed Rivera.

February was the breakup month according to the search warrant for Gosselin and Ivy.
