Breaking News: Twin Teenage Girls Stabbed, One Fatally, at NYC Bodega After Rejecting Attacker’s Advances!
Cybersecdn– In a tragic incident at a Brooklyn bodega, twin sisters, aged 19, were brutally attacked early Sunday morning, leaving one dead and the other hospitalized after they reportedly rejected advances from their assailant.
According to authorities and eyewitness accounts, Samyia Spain and her sister, Sanyia, were at Slope Natural Plus on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope around 2:20 a.m. when the assault occurred. The attack allegedly followed the sisters rebuffing advances made by the suspect, leading to a violent confrontation.
Eyewitnesses, including the girls’ grandfather, Alphonso Goodson, recounted the events leading up to the attack. Goodson stated that after the sisters declined the suspect’s advances, he was removed from the store by the owner. However, upon the twins’ departure from the store, the assailant ambushed them, leading to a fatal stabbing.
Samyia suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest, and despite efforts by medical personnel, she was pronounced dead at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Meanwhile, her sister Sanyia sustained injuries to her arm and is listed in stable condition at the same hospital.
The twins had been socializing with friends and relatives earlier in the night, attending a party before the tragic incident unfolded. One woman, identifying herself as Samyia’s godmother, described the twins as being with their mother and other relatives for a game night prior to the attack.
As news of the incident spread, distraught loved ones gathered outside the apartment building where Samyia resided, setting up a makeshift memorial with flowers, teddy bears, and candles to honor her memory. Friends described Samyia as a good person who was dedicated to her studies and work, emphasizing her peaceful nature and lack of involvement in trouble.
Samyia’s social media activity leading up to the incident offered glimpses into her evening, with posts indicating her anticipation for the party and her enjoyment of the night’s events. Despite speculation regarding the assailant’s presence at a local club where the group had briefly stopped, it was asserted that Samyia did not know her attacker.
